About East Anglian Swallow Tails swimming club

East Anglian Swallowtails, EAST was formed in 1987.  We are a local swimming club with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  We are a cheerful and enthusiastic group of swimmers.  We currently swim in 3 different pools in Norwich; UEA Sportspark, Riverside, and the Hewett School.

Our swimmers range from national record holders in their age range to those who are keen to stay fit but do not wish to compete.  We are pleased we have a group of swimmers who are triathletes who enjoy the benefits of our coaching and pool availability.

Our founder member Jane Asher, currently holds several world records and is a swimming hall of fame member.

In 2010 we were proud to have our first channel swimmer, David Webster, trained by one of our coaches, Josh Crosley.

Our current membership age range is from 18 to 80 and we are keen to extend this upwards as well as downwards.

At present we offer coached swimming sessions on every day of the week except Wednesday. During each session swimmers are divided into lanes according to their ability so that each group is given training and coaching to meet their needs.

We have the occasional social and these are well attended by members.  We offer a variety of payment types to allow swimmers to select  the package that best meets their needs.  For further details please see our Club Membership page.

It will be great to see you if you feel drawn to trying out one of our sessions. If you would like to try out swimming with our club, EAST offer two free trial swims to all new members. Please contact Will at membership@swallowtails.co.uk for further details.
