The following table highlights the changes to the training timetable this summer. The sessions highlighted in yellow have either been cancelled or changed from the normal training timetable
Ten EAST swimmers made it over to Swansea for this year’s British Masters Championships. Some very strong performances across the board with five golds, eight silvers and four bronzes. Pat Jackson again led the way with four golds, a silver and a bronze, with Debbie Matless picking up the other gold in the 100m Butterfly as well as a silver in the 50m fly. Catherine Markwell, Chris Trueman, Katie Maloney and Sally Lelean also picked up medals for some great swims across the weekend.

Four intrepid EASTie explorers ventured out to Kranj in Slovenia to compete in the European Masters Championships.
Debbie Matless swam in the 50 Fly, 100 Fly and 100 Free, medalling in all of her events. Her 100 Fly was an epic encounter, missing out on gold by 0.09 seconds.
Natalie Allen swam in the 200 Free, 400 Free and 200 Back. Posting good times throughout and a notable blistering 1st 50 in her 200 Back and several encounters with the lane ropes (I mean come on, who would organise a back stroke event out doors!)
David Borthwick had 2 seasons bests in his 200 Free and 200 IM and an epic disaster in his 400 Free a full 9 seconds off his best.
